Support for the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine
For the fourth year in a row, FUIB, as a sustainable business, has been implementing social projects to support the state, its citizens, and the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine. FUIB’s total investments in bringing victory closer in the form of various social initiatives and direct assistance to defender units in hot spots during this period amounted to over UAH 1 billion.
A separate area of FUIB’s social activity is assistance to the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine. Since 2022, in cooperation with charitable foundations, public organizations, and through direct purchases from various military units, we have transferred thousands of units of equipment for communication and power, surveillance and control, tactical clothing and equipment, vehicles and aerial reconnaissance vehicles, electronic warfare equipment, and equipment for conducting sapper work for over UAH 410 million.
Our 45 armored collection vehicles, transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of the war, evacuated seriously wounded soldiers from the front line, delivered ammunition to the front line, participated in intercepting saboteurs and delivering food to city residents in the hottest spots. The armored vehicles saved more than a dozen lives.
The bank promptly responds to the needs of the defenders: if at first helmets and body armor were very much needed at the front, later – thermal imagers and quadcopters, warm military clothing and footwear, stoves for heating and cooking food, hand and foot warmers, now the Security and Defense Forces urgently need electronic warfare equipment and communication equipment, reconnaissance drones and charging stations with generators, vehicles and equipment for their repair. Everything that allows them to hold positions, move around mobilely and provide protection.
Thanks to our support, the following items were purchased for the units: over 1,000 body armor, 500 periscopes, 703 reconnaissance drones, 52 vehicles, 37 thermal imagers, 24 stoves for heating and cooking, 40 gas cylinders, over 1,775 pieces of tactical clothing and equipment (trousers, jackets, balaclavas, shirts, wetsuits, tactical backpacks, protective raincoats and camouflage suits), over 300 pieces of tactical footwear, over 3,252 camouflage nets were manufactured, 491 units of equipment for combating enemy drones and for repairing unmanned systems were purchased, 1,073 units of equipment and parts for repairing machines, equipment and air defense, 638 charging stations and generators, 614 units of equipment for communication and surveillance, 282 units of computer equipment, 5,235 equipment and equipment for conducting sapper work, 19 tons of fuel, 8 mini gas stations.
The Bank not only finances purchases itself, but also supports the initiatives of foundations and public organizations. Thus, FUIB joined the collection of students of the Kyiv School of Economics together with KSE Foundation and DefDev for helicopter medevacs for the GUR. The Bank transferred 11 million to organize the rapid evacuation of the seriously wounded from the battlefield.
FUIB and Hospitaliers have reequipped 10 evacuation vehicles to increase the protection of paramedic crews at ground zero. Evacuation vehicles are fully equipped for operation in combat conditions: night vision cameras, stroboscopes, side lights for night movement, special luggage structures on the roof, a structure for electronic warfare and Starlink, aluminum composite panels and armored film on the front windows. 10 vehicles were sent to the most difficult areas: Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Kharkiv directions.
Among FUIB’s partners in supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine are well-known charitable foundations such as KSE Foundation, Serhiy Prytula, Povernys Zhivym, Stalevy Front, Kolo, Vovki Da Vinci, Azov. One, as well as small volunteer organizations, we are all doing one big important thing together.
FUIB is a partner of the NBU’s charity campaign “Courageous Hryvnia”. In 2022, the collection of coins in denominations of 10, 50 kopecks and 1, 2, 5 and 10 hryvnias continued throughout Ukraine for their mobilization to the front. It was also possible to bring non-payment coins of 1, 2, 5, 25 kopecks to FUIB branches. A small number of coins can be placed in a charity box, a large amount in coins can be transferred without commission through the bank’s cash desk. Over the three months of the “Courageous Hryvnia” campaign, Ukrainians together collected almost 5 million UAH. In 2023, during the three months of the campaign, Ukrainians collectively collected UAH 4.3 million in coins. Over half a million hryvnias were transferred in coins and transferred to the special account of the NBU to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine through FUIB branches.
In 2024, FUIB became a partner of the NBU charity campaign #SuperCoins. Participants of the charity campaign #SuperCoins, organized by the National Bank of Ukraine and the Superhumans Center with the support of partner banks, collected almost UAH 3.6 million in coins in three months of 2024. The funds collected during the campaign are directed to the surgical direction (complex reconstructive operations on the face, neck and limbs) of the treatment of Ukrainians who suffered from the war. Among the patients are both civilians and military personnel who were seriously injured at the front.
Since the beginning of the war, FUIB has organized the possibility of quick transfer of any amount without commission to support our army through all bank channels. Ukrainians have transferred more than UAH 814 million through FUIB for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and humanitarian support.
As a primary dealer, our bank launched a service for the sale of military government bonds, the issue of which was initiated by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine to support the Ukrainian budget through investment. The total amount of investments of more than 3,060 bank clients, individuals and legal entities, in military bonds amounted to over 3,800 million UAH, over 72.5 million USD and over 17 million EUR.
With financing from FUIB Bank, in May 2024, “Cultural Desant” launched “Front Studio” – a project to promote military musical culture, to record and promote songs created or performed by servicemen, direct participants in the war. As part of “Front Studio”, a season of 14 video episodes was released on the Cultural Forces Music YouTube channel, as well as a music album recorded at the front in a mobile recording studio.
The hosts were Mykola Serga, a serviceman and head of “Cultural Desant”, and Oleksandr Chemerov, a musician and music producer of “Cultural Desant”. Viewers of “Front Studio” saw the process of creating a song from A to Z, learned the life stories of the servicemen, their path in the war and the creativity that they did not abandon even during fierce battles.
About a hundred musicians took part in recording the songs, including the Heroes of Ukraine, the Honored Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Orchestra 59, the children’s choir “Zlatnytsia” from Pokrovsk, opera singers, poets, chaplains, and also the leader of the band “Queens of the Stone Age” Josh Gommi. The songs were recorded in a variety of styles – from romances to rock ballads, from lullabies to punk, from opera to rap. All songs appeared on streaming platforms throughout the summer, simultaneously with the release of the episodes.
In June 2023, the PUMB RUN bank running club resumed its life. The purpose of the club’s work is to form a culture of a healthy lifestyle and support Ukrainian defenders. Each run of a club member of 3 km or more is improved health, as well as FUIB’s contribution to the Mobilized Employees Assistance Fund. The fund collects for the needs of colleagues who defend our independence. Training calculations are carried out using the Strava application. More runs – more assistance provided.
In 2023, members of the PUMB RUN community went on more than 3 thousand runs. 127 colleagues took part in this. The total distance covered was more than 23 thousand km. Webinars were held for runners throughout the year, as well as the competition itself. FUIB bank’s own online race is distances, winners, commemorative medals. Each distance is also a transfer of funds to the Mobilized Colleagues Support Fund. In total, the club’s runners raised 150 thousand hryvnias, which went to purchase 10 bulletproof vests for defenders.
In 2024, the club gathered 153 participants, who together covered more than 40 thousand km in 5 thousand runs. This allowed us to collect 325 thousand hryvnias, which were sent to purchase turnstiles, military clothing, protective equipment, charging stations, as well as to repair cars and help with the rehabilitation of the wounded. Since the beginning of 2025, the PUMB RUN running club has continued to actively demonstrate its running position – in 1 half year we raised 150 thousand hryvnias. for the fund to support mobilized FUIB colleagues. Being part of the FUIB running community means improving your health, getting rid of negative thoughts, finding new friends, and helping our soldiers.
Our employees regularly donate blood for defenders. As part of the “We Are of the Same Blood” project, the bank organizes open donations. For the bank team, this is the development of a culture of systemic donation and team unity. The opportunity for live communication, the establishment of informal friendly ties. Currently, the bank has several hundred donors who donate blood several times a year. The culture of blood donation at the bank has been in place for 10 years.
The bank has created the FUIB Mobilized Employees Assistance Fund – a collection of funds by employees for the necessities of our defenders. Together, we provided assistance to 339 mobilized employees, husbands and sons of our employees for over 8.9 million hryvnias. Protective equipment, equipment and gear, tactical clothing, footwear and first aid kits were purchased for them. The bank purchased Israeli bulletproof vests for colleagues for 1.3 million hryvnias. Starting in December 2023, FUIB will double the amount collected by employees to strengthen support for defenders.
As of September 2025, 217 FUIB employees are in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Mobilized colleagues receive not only support from colleagues and the bank, but also full salary. We are all waiting for their return.
10 bank employees died defending the country. We created digital films-memories about them and planted the Alley of Memory in the Botanical Garden.
Investments in supporting the Security Forces and Defense are investments in the future of Ukraine, its freedom and independence. These are investments in our mobilized colleagues, relatives, partners, clients. There is not a single family in Ukraine that has not been touched by war.
FUIB is constantly studying the experience of employees at the bank. Thus, in 2024, the eNPS indicator, the level of staff loyalty, was 74%, decreased by 1% compared to 2023. However, the results of the survey on the levels of loyalty, satisfaction and engagement of employees are the highest in recent years. The number of open comments increased by 30% – employees openly talk about what they like and what worries them.
FUIB’s indicators according to InMind have increased significantly over the year:

– Participates in the development of the country – from 7% to 11%.
