Best practices of CSR 2021

Case name: Social donor initiative “Kraplya do Krapli” — а project that develops the donor movement in Ukraine and provides a unique opportunity for everyone to join the noble cause

What problem does it solve? Development of the donor movement in Ukraine.

Results: Popularization of donation is a very important goal and can have benefits for society as well as for the promotion and growth of brands and the creation of unique attributes of difference. The “Kraplya do Krapli” initiative appeals to the widest audience and has already changed the lives of many patients. The project is valuable not only on paper, but for everyone whose life was saved thanks to donated blood.

Case name: ELEKS Run&Cycling Challenge – we turn the daily sports activity of our specialists into charitable funds for children’s hospitals.

What problem does it solve? support employees in remote work and ensure financial and psychological security for families.

Results: Specialists provided weekly information about their sports achievements in the application, and we converted kilometers into hryvnias every month and transferred funds to the platform. In the first month, more than 100 people from Eleks joined and we raised almost UAH 150,000. It should be noted that with each passing month, an average of 10 people joined the challenge and we added more than UAH 25,000 to the treasury every month. 

Case name: “Spring Legal Run 2021” Charity Race

What problem does it solve? Potential and existing problems with the mental and physical health of the staff and management of our company, related to burnout and daily stress at work.

Results: All Legal House employees took part in the organization and the race itself. This contributed to regular team members’ regular training and informal communication with each other and between their families. Even now, most of the employees who have run their charity distance continue to train regularly and participate in different races (in particular, our corporate team). The team strengthened and gained common experience and memorable moments.

Case name: Abetka Kharchuvannya – healthy nutrition and wellness program for primary school children

What problem does it solve? Balanced diet and healthy lifestyle for primary school children

Results: Abetka Kharchuvannya includes not only the educational program but also many activities that aim to increase the motivation among children to join healthy nutrition. One of the children’s favorite events is a cooking master class dedicated to International Chef’s Day. Children together with a professional chef cook delicious and healthy meals. In the conditions of distance learning and quarantine restrictions, we transformed the event into the online culinary master class. Now chef together with several assistants cooks meals live in the studio.

Case name: Charity race DobroRun 2021

What problem does it solve? Development and implementation of system projects and involvement of system partners, which help the funds to plan their activities and effectively allocate funds to philanthropists for long-term initiatives and emergency assistance.

Results: More than 3,000 philanthropists (twice as many as last year) from 20 regions of Ukraine and 7 countries took part in DobroRun 2021. The total amount of charitable contributions of DobroRun participants amounted to UAH 2.2 million (twice as much as last year).

105 corporate teams (more than 3 times more than in 2020) joined the project, including manufacturing, IT, pharmaceutical, FMCG, retail, service, medical, legal and agricultural companies. The biggest benefactors were: CRH Ukraine, MHP, Teva Ukraine, Oschadbank, TECHIIA, Kernel, Ciklum, FUIB, Snapchat, Grammarly, Bank Sich, Henkel.

Case name: Edutainment Project Healthy Nutrition for Kids

What problem does it solve? To teach and motivate children and parents to a healthy diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Results: The project developed an annual training program (agreed with the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Association of Nutritionists of Ukraine), during which experts told children why it is so important to choose healthy food instead of deep processed foods high in sugar. salt, fat and fast calories; what is food waste; and how to eat to maintain our own health and the health of our planet. 60 online events and 120 activities were held in 5 regions of Ukraine; communication with parents and family members was conducted through creative homework.

Case name: Say ‘No’ To Underage Drinking: Global Beer Responsible Day

What problem does it solve?  Development of a culture of responsible alcohol consumption in Ukraine and the world, as well as prevention of alcohol consumption by minors.

Results: In 2021, the company together with a partner in the field of brewing launched a media project on the YouTube channel “ZE INTERVIEWER” Anatoly Anatolich on the formation of a responsible attitude to alcohol among adolescents. Musician Serhiy Babkin, restaurateur Dmytro Borisov, actor Oleksandr Pikalov and their sons took part in the interview. Through personal stories, the heroes convey the main idea of the project – alcohol for under-18s is not about leisure, but about irresponsible risk.
