Generation A

An integral part of Syngenta’s internal culture is the formation and continuous development of a young generation of qualified agrarians. Now the company successfully operates projects Generation A, Syngenta Students, Your Future in Agro, STEM project, partnership with the Small Academy of Sciences and Scientific Naturalistic Center, Agrokebets online and others.

We want to highlight our Generation A is an educational project about agro-education, about the new generation of young people and the training of experienced personnel for the agricultural industry, which allows students to gain unique knowledge in agronomy and management. Generation A is an opportunity to test yourself and evaluate potential as a specialist, as well as to obtain unique knowledge in the agricultural sector.

As part of the educational program, the most motivated agronomy students have the opportunity to practice with experienced Syngenta mentors in real field conditions and laboratories, learn modern technology, master innovative approaches, work on the latest equipment and simultaneously pump up their communication and work skills. Training program includes different modules – agronomy, marketing, sales, soft skills as well as interesting lectures and practical classes, excursions and trips to R&D stations and laboratories. Upon completion, the best students receive internships and work placements at Syngenta and its partners.

“Syngenta” signed memorandums of scientific, technical, research and demonstration cooperation with Poltava State Agrarian Academy (PSAA), Odessa State Agrarian University (OSAU), Kharkiv National Agrarian University named after V. V. Lomonosov, Kharkiv National Agrarian University IM. V. V. Dokuchava and the Bilotserkiv National Agrarian University and also plans to further expand the territory of our influence. It is very important for us to involve our employees in such projects and develop agro-education together. Indeed, our colleagues are full of enthusiasm, they like to share their knowledge and experience, contribute to the development of future professionals and understand that it is in their power to change the worldview of young people.

Over the past year Generation A has reached five universities, more than 140 students in the program, about 30 speakers and more than 100 practical lectures and program developments for teachers.

We already have our own success stories of colleagues who used to be students, but who have shown leadership qualities of diligence and initiative, and now work full time and make Syngenta better every day.
